Breakfbreakfast tableast

Normally, breakfast is served between 7.30am and 9.30am, but if you need to eat earlier or later, please let us know and we’ll do all we can to meet your needs.

Using locally produced food including our own home laid eggs, we aim to provide a full and varied breakfast menu, from the lighter continental style, through to traditional English.

We also aim to offer quality and value for money using the wide range of exceptionally good food available locally.

The refreshment tray in your room also introduces you to local products, such as Moores biscuits and Clipper teas.

Eating Out

We have many places to suggest for eating out, and believe all tastes are catered for.  The following are some of our favourites but everyone likes different things so do look at the websites to see if it is the place for you.  We can of course suggest many others.

The Crown Inn

Many guests choose this on their first night as it is only 100 yds down the road so it’s good not to have to drive anywhere.  It serves good food and it is advisable to book 01308 485356

Riverside Restaurant, West Bay

Predominantly fish.  Good waterside position. Very casual and long established.  www.thefishrestaurant-westbay.co.uk

The Wild Garlic, Beaminster

Opened in 2009 by the winner of the 2009 Masterchef.  Seasonal food, often local so a limited menu but well presented.
Need to book many weeks ahead.  www.thewildgarlic.co.uk

Hix Oyster and Fish House, Lyme Bay

Good National following. Some guests come especially for this with mixed verdicts. www.hixoysterandfishhouse.co.uk

The Hive Beach Cafe, Burton Bradstock

Nationally acclaimed serving a wide range of food all day.  Fabulous setting on a summer evening. www.hivebeachcafe.co.uk

Summer Lodge, Evershot

For somewhere special, lunch or dinner. www.summerlodgehotel.co.uk
